今回も予選(Feeder Round)を経て本戦参加64チームを選抜する形式を取っていたが、期限までに参加申請したチーム数が64を下回ったため予選は開催されなかった。\\ ロシアでのIP遮断の影響((例年出場しているSOLAR FLEETやRed Allianceなどが今回出場していない))や景品艦の発表が遅かったことなどが要因として挙げられるが、実際どれくらい影響があったかはわからない。 今までの大会と今回の大会での一番大きなルールの変更点として、同じ船を複数隻同時に出場させられなくなったことが挙げられる。そのため、去年のような中コストの強力な艦船ばかりをピックアップしてぶつけるという戦術はほとんどできなくなり、高コストから低コストまで幅広く使うフリート構成がよく見られるようになった。\\ 同時にShip BANも最初から各チーム3種ずつになったものの、上記のルールにより使用される可能性のある艦の種類自体が増えたことでそこまで厳しい制限とはならず、せいぜい特定の戦術のキーになる船を封じることができる程度であった。 今回のトップメタは、なんといっても大会直前に追加された[[:ship:battleship:leshak|Leshak]]であった。条件付きながらサブキャピタルの中で最も高いDPSを叩き出す火力性能とFacBS並みのHPを併せ持つにもかかわらず、必要なポイントが通常のT1BSと同じという謎の優遇を受けた結果、半数以上のチームがフラグシップをLeshakにするという事態になった。なお、ベスト8進出チームは全てLeshakをフラグシップに指定していた。\\ また、同時に追加されたCLの[[:ship:cruiser:vedmak|Vedmak]]も同様にFacCLを(条件付きとはいえ)凌駕する高性能でありながらT1CLと同じたったの4ポイントしか必要としないという驚異のコストパフォーマンスを誇り、選出率は非常に高かった。\\ これらのTriglavian艦がアーマー艦であることから、大会全体としてアーマーフリート率がかなり高かった。LeshakはNeutやスマートボム((ATではLogi艦だけでなくLogiドローンも重要なLogi要員であり、敵を捕まえてその近くでスマートボムを焚くことでドローンによるLogiを無力化できる。))にボーナスを持ち接近戦を得意とするので、これと相性のいい船として[[:ship:battleship:bhaalgorn|Bhaalgorn]]や[[:ship:battleship:vindicator|Vindicator]]、[[:ship:battleship:megathron-navy-issue|海軍Megathron]]などが一緒に起用されることが多く、特にBhaalgornはBANされる割合がかなり高かった。なお、フラグシップが上位版のWebやNeutを使用できなくなったことで、Bhaalgornをフラグシップとして選ぶチームはほとんどなくなった。\\ また、T2LogiFGが多用されたことも印象的だった。2隻出してもT2LogiCLの6割程度の回復量しか持たないものの、使用ポイントが5ポイントから3ポイントへ大幅に減らされたことでT2LogiCLを1隻使うより11ポイントも少なく済むようになった。11ポイントともなるとHACやReconの1隻分に相当する。これにより、サポートやアンチサポートを手厚くしたり、主力BSを増やしたりとチーム編成に幅を持たせやすくなった。
